Anne King
, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Anne King attended Carl Sandburg College in her hometown, Galesburg IL. Over 20 years ago, Anne relocated to Kankakee with her husband Michael. For the past 10 years, Anne has served as a Field Advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and also serves as the chairman of Kankakee's annual Out of the Darkness Walk, which promotes suicide awareness and funding. Additionally, she works for the Kankakee School District as a high school cross country coach and also makes products for Gracie Pie Apothecary. She is both an adult and youth mental health first aid instructor.  Anne and Michael have two children in their teens along with 2 rescued fur babies. In her free time, Anne enjoys spending time with family and dogs making soap, reading and gardening.
